St. Pete Couple Found Dead In Apparent Murder/Suicide
A St. Petersburg couple has been found dead at the Vibe at Gateway apartments, apparently the victims of a murder/suicide.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- A St. Petersburg couple has been found dead at the Vibe at Gateway apartments, 545 77 Ave. N., St. Petersburg, apparently the victims of a murder/suicide.
Detectives responding to a request for a welfare check found the bodies of Johnesia Simmons, 22, and Jeremiah Mells, 30, on Friday, July 13 after 11 p.m.
Although murder/suicide appears to be the preliminary cause, detectives are continuing their investigation.

Simmons’ child was not at home at the time and is now in the care of family members.
