St. Pete Fire Leaves Mother, Son Homeless
Overnight, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a mobile home fire at 2001 83rd Ave. N. St. Petersburg.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Overnight, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a mobile home fire in the Village Green mobile home park at 2001 83rd Ave. N. St. Petersburg.
The fire started around 3:30 a.m. Nov. 29. The homeowner was up reading when the power to his mobile home went out. When he checked the electrical panel, he discovered a small fire in the rear of the mobile home. He quickly alerted his mother, who was asleep and they got out of the home safely.
When fire crews arrived on scene, they found smoke and flames. The fire was under control within an hour.

The home is a complete loss. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
