St. Pete Fire Rescue Supports Coronavirus First Responders
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue will cheer doctors, nurses and other medical staff with applause and thank you signs for their coronavirus care.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Fire Rescue wants to give a boost of encouragement to health-care workers at local hospitals who continue to put their lives on the front lines during the coronavirus pandemic.
The department's crews will be at St. Petersburg General Hospital at 6:15 p.m. Monday to show their appreciation for the hard work of local healthcare workers. For their tribute, they will hold thank you signs and applaud the doctors, nurses and other medical staff during their shift change.
"We hope to provide a morale boost to the hard-working health care professionals and put a smile on their face," said Deputy Fire Marshal Lt. Steve Lawrence in a news release.

They paid a similar tribute to Bayfront Medical staff on April 22 that is displayed on their Facebook page.
On April 30, crews will return to Bayfront Medical and pay their tribute to the medical staff at Bayfront Medical showing their support from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
