St. Pete Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Stabbing

A 64-year-old St. Petersburg man has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after being accused of stabbing a woman.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 64-year-old St. Petersburg man has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after being accused of stabbing a woman.

According to the St. Petersburg Police, on Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m., police responded to the 4000 block of Porpoise Drive Southeast and found a woman who had been stabbed several times. She was transported to Bayfront Health with serious injuries.

Police say Lonnie Lavine, who lives in an unattached shed behind the woman's home, got into an argument, and he stabbed her.
