St. Pete Motorcyclist Killed By Reportedly Intoxicated Driver
St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred just before midnight Saturday, June 23,

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred just before midnight Saturday, June 23, at Gandy Boulevard and 4th Street North in St. Petersburg.
Shortly before midnight, a 2016 BMW motorcycle driven by Michael P. Majchrowski, 49, was eastbound on Gandy Boulevard, slowing for a red light at 4th Street North.
As the motorcycle approached the red light, the traffic signal changed to green and Majchrowski proceeded through.

A 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Dylan Charles Baron, 23, was heading south on 4th Street North. Baron had reportedly consumed alcohol and fell asleep while driving. He ran the red light and struck Majchrowski’s motorcycle.
Majchrowski. who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Petersburg Fire Department.

The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending.
