Update: Woman Discovered Injured in Maggiore Park Dies
St. Petersburg Police detectives are seeking information on the death of a woman found in Lake Maggiore Park
ST PETERSBURG, FL – St. Petersburg Police detectives are seeking information on a woman found critically injured in Lake Maggiore Park on Thursday, March 1. The woman, 43-year-old Christie L. New, has now died as a result of those injuries.
A city park worker discovered New at the park on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard South just after 11:30 a.m. She was taken to the hospital where she died Wednesday, March 7.
Investigators are looking for any tips or leads the public may have regarding New or the circumstances surrounding the trauma she suffered.
