St. Pete Police Seeks Easily Rattled Robber

St. Petersburg Police are looking for a would-be masked armed robber who was chased out of a 7-Eleven store by a clerk.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- He either didn't have his heart in it or he was just easily intimidated.

Either way, St. Petersburg Police are looking for a would-be masked armed robber who was chased out of a 7-Eleven store by a clerk. In view of surveillance cameras, the intended robber then took off his mask and began pacing in the parking lot.

The attempted robbery occurred Tuesday, July 10 shortly after 4 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 2632 Park St. N.

A man walked into the store, showed the clerk a knife and demanded money. The clerk refused to comply and, instead, kicked the attempted robber out of the store.

St. Pete Police obtained a video that shows the man attempting to rob the store and later pacing outside without his mask. He is white, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slim build, blue eyes and short brown hair. The last video clip shows him arriving at the store and placing his Schwinn bicycle in the bed of an employee's pickup truck.
