St. Pete Today: Breakfast with the Mayor at All Children's
Meet the mayor at 7 a.m. for breakfast, but all eyes will be on Tropicana Field 12 hours later for the Rays' game against the Yankees.

1.) Breakfast with the Mayor: Mayor Bill Foster will hold his monthly Breakfast with the Mayor Wednesday morning at the All Children's Hospital cafeteria. Foster will be at the hospital beginning at 7 a.m., ready to meet and talk with anyone who decides to come by. If you've ever wanted to ask the mayor a question, this is a good place to do it.
2.) New Taqueria on 4th Street: A new Mexican restaurant is set to open soon on 4th Street North, according to the weekly restaurant report on ilovetheburg.com. La Casita Taqueria will open its doors on Oct. 10. It has some big zapatos to fill. Taco Bus, downtown St. Pete's own taqueria, is the hands-down favorite taco joint in Tampa Bay, along with its sister bus in Tampa. Taco Bus will be profiled Wednesday night son . The culinary excitement starts at 9 p.m.
3.) Down to One: With one game to play, the Rays playoff chances are in their own hands. All they have to do is beat the visiting Yankees and they will continue one of the great recent comebacks in baseball history. The game begins at 7:10 p.m. at the Trop. Go to www.raysbaseball.com.

4.) Beer Fans Plan Ahead: If you're a craft beer fan thinking of going to the Oct. 21 Art on Tap event at the Museum of Fine Arts, you might want to think about getting your tickets in advance. They're less expensive ($45) than buying them at the door. Plus, this is a popular event, so get them while you can. Go to www.fine-arts.org.
5.) Pursuit of Snappiness: Snap your fingers with favorite (crooner/jazz pianist) as he plays and sings showtunes, jazz standards, pop and rock in a cabaret setting. Tickets are $15. The show begins at 7 pm. at the freeFall Theatre, 6099 Central Ave.
