St. Pete Woman Charged in Hit-and-Run
The accident happened in Pinellas Park Wednesday.

An arrest has been made in the fatal hit-and-run crash that left a 51-year-old Pinellas Park man dead Wednesday night.
Pinellas Park Police say the accident happened around 10 p.m. in the 6500 block of 62nd Ave. N. A pedestrian, identified as Raymond Gerald Johnson, was found in the ditch on the north side of the road. The vehicle that struck him was nowhere to be found.
During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine that Johnson had been hit by a red car that fled the scene heading eastbound, an email to media from police stated.

On Thursday, a woman went into the police department and admitted to driving the car.
“The suspect indicated that she had fled the scene because she was scared as she was under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances,” the email said.

Adelina Marie Mucciolo, 37, was charged with leaving the scene of a traffic crash with a fatality. She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail without bond.
Police say Mucciolo has a lengthy criminal history that includes prior arrests for aggravated assault with a motor vehicle and DUI.
“Our investigators are asking for anyone with information as it relates to this crash to contact the police department,” the email said. “We are looking to identify anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash that may have witnessed the victim walking along the roadway or the suspect vehicle. The vehicle is a red 2009 Toyota Camry.”
