St. Pete Woman Hit By Truck In Wells Fargo Drive-Thru
Police are searching for the driver of a truck who hit a 61-year-old woman who was sleeping outside a Wells Fargo Bank and kept going.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 61-year-old woman who slept in a Wells Fargo drive-thru location in St. Pete died after a truck ran over her on Tuesday night, St. Pete police said.
Authorities said the suspect responsible for the fatal hit-and-run was in a blue late 1970s model Chevrolet truck.
Investigators found the truck in the area of Ninth Avenue South and 11th Street South, but police are still searching for the driver.

The incident took place at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 125 Fifth Street South around 9:15 p.m.
The victim, Cindy Sue Carpenter died of her injuries after the driver drove the wrong way through the bank's drive-thru, detectives said.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen the crash or the truck and itsdriver, to provide information by calling the St. Petersburg Police Department's non-emergency line at 727-893-7780.
