St. Stefanos Super Greek Festival Scheduled This Weekend

The annual St. Stefanos' Super Greek Festival​, featuring Greek food, music and dancing, will take place Feb. 22-24.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- The annual St. Stefanos’ Super Greek Festival, featuring Greek food, music and dancing, will take place Feb. 22-24 at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church, 3600 76th St. N., St. Petersburg.

The celebration of Greek culture features foods made from scratch by parishioners including Pastichio, Mousaka, Dolmades, Lamb Shank, Souvlaki and Gyros

There will also be a selection of Greek pastries including Baklava, Koulourakia, Finikia, Tsoureki , Kourambiedes, Diples and Galaktoboureko.

Additionally, there will be Greek beverages including Ouzo, Metaxa and Greek beer and wine.

Attendees can dine inside or outside under the large tent where the Greek band, Demetri and the Islanders, will perform traditional Greek music.

The KEFI Youth Dance Troupe will perform throughout the festival.

There will also be vendors selling Greek jewelry, crafts and other items as well as a mini carnival for kids including a bounce house, rock wall and games.

Attendees are invited to visit the culture room and learn more about Greek culture and religions, take Greek dance lessons and tour the church.

The festival will run until 11 p.m. Friday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $3 per person for the day or $5 per person for a weekend pass. Children age 12 and under, active military and law enforcement, veterans and seniors age 75 and over are admitted for free.
