Standings Tighten As Kubs Win Kits Lose

Kats 15, Kids 14.

In game one action Tuesday. January 17 Kutchinski's Kats scored five runs in the sixth inning to edge Hannah's Kids in a seesaw battle 15-14 at North Shore Park. Dave Glauner and Will Michaels had four hits each for the winners, and Dennis Kuvalanka went 4 for four for the Kids.

Kubs 12 Kits 6.

"Ewald's Kubs" explode for five runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth to top "Norton's Kits" in second-game action at North Shore Park on Tuesday, January 17. Kaz Gora went three for three and got his fifth mound victory. Kids got 17 hits, and every player on each team collected a hit. "Kubs" outhit the "Kits" 22-17.

Game one, Thursday, January. 19th.

Kubs 8. Kids 7.

Mike Footlick delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th in Tuesday's game one. January 17 for the Kubs. Footlick and winning pitcher Bert Valery paced the hitters with three hits each.

Kats 7. Kits 4.

Pete Calabrese outdueled Jerry Wollman as the Kats rallied in the 7th for a 7-4 win. "Cubbie" Kutchinski led the Kats hitters with three for three. Larry McCurdy and Jon Reynolds got two hits each for the Kits.
