The struggle continued Tuesday, February 14, at North Shore Park. “Ewald's’ Kubs” defeated Norton’s Kits 14 to 8. Behind 4-0 early, the Kubs scored in all but one of the final five innings to win going away. Larry Webster, double, triple; Peter Robison and Doug Rghter collected a double and triple to lead the Kub hit parade behind pitcher Walt Ewald’s tenth pitching victory. Five Kubs collected three hits each, and no Kids player got more than two hits.

In second game action on February 14 at North Shore Park, “Hannah’s Kids” and “Kutchinski’s Kats” engaged in an extra inning donnybrook, with the Kids winning 21-10. The win resulted from an 8-run extra inning that put the game away. Six Kids pounded out three hits each, and. “Cubbie” Kutchinski got four hits for the Kats.
Thursday, February 16, action at North Shore Park featured “Kutchinski’s Kats” 12-8 victory over “Ewald’s Kubs.” The Kats came from behind 7-4 at the end of four innings and managed to win, scoring eight times over the last three innings. Peter Robison and Gaspar “Pee Wee” Di Iluis led the charge with three hits each.

In second-game action,” Hannah’s Kids” were nine to five victors over “Norton’s Kits.” Kaz Gora pitched the Kids into first place, pushing his record from the pitching rubber to 12-1. Gora and Frank Sirois provided the offensive fireworks, and both were three for three.
