Student Arrested After Threatening To Dress Up As School Shooter
An eighth-grader was arrested after telling other students that he planned to dress up as a school shooter and "shoot up the school."

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — An eighth-grade student at Azalea Middle School in St. Petersburg was arrested after telling other students that he planned to dress up as a school shooter and "shoot up the school."
Another student shared the comment on social media Friday and school resource officers were notified. The 13-year-old was charged with making a false report of using a firearm to do bodily harm, a felony.
The St. Petersburg Police Department reminds students and parents that it takes all school threats seriously and will investigate any threatening comments or posts on social media.
