Sunrise Rotary President Jim Kruse District President Of The Year (District 6538)

I was shocked, humbled, and overwhelmed (yeah, tears, of course) to learn that, because of all that the St. Pete Sunrise Rotary Club has accomplished this past year, I was selected as the District President of the Year (small club). I’m so proud of everything that we have done and really look forward to the year to come! Jim praised the membership for their work and response to his efforts.

St Petersburg Sunrise Rotary Club will install newly elected officers on Tuesday, July 7, at the Saint Petersburg Yacht Club, 1 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg.

Club members attended an S4TL delegate session at Southern Florida College, led by our own Shirley Williams. Shirley will share her experience at our July 7 meeting, following the induction of the new Club officers.

On June 23, Ronald McDonald House found St Petersburg Sunrise Members serving. Members serving include Dave Hoyt, Jerry Converse, Guy MJ Macarios, Susan and Jim Kruse, and Kennedy Curro, This opportunity is available to ten Club members per date.

President Jim Kruse announced summer meeting dates: July 7, 18, 28; August 4, 11, 25; September 8.

Sunshine City Mosaic presentation scheduled July 21; Tentative: Serving Breakfast at Ronald McDonald House on August 18; Program to be announced on September 1; St Pete Radio on September 15. Resume regular weekly Tuesday at 7:30 AM meeting schedule for the remainder of 2026.
