Tampa Woman In Critical Condition Following Wrong-Way Crash

A 25-year-old St. Petersburg man accused of drunk driving is being blamed for a wrong-way crash that critically injured a 24-year-old Tampa

ST. PETERSBURG — A 25-year-old St. Petersburg man accused of drunk driving is being blamed for a wrong-way crash that critically injured a 24-year-old Tampa woman.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at about 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, Andy Andreia Cuff Jr. made a U-turn on the Howard Frankland Bridge and began traveling south in the northbound lanes, crashing head on into a Hyundai driven by Andrea Nicole Rusch.

Both were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital, troopers said.

Cuff was later released and charged with driving under the influence with serious injury and driving in the wrong direction.
