ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Coast Guard helicopter flew an unresponsive man from a recreational vessel 40 miles west of Hernando Beach to a Tampa hospital on May 4.

Sector St. Pete notified Air Station Clearwater of the medical emergency, and they deployed their helicopter crew in a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter to the man's location. They safely flew him to Tampa General Hospital. Coast Guard Stations Yankeetown and Sand Key also responded to assist.
