Victories by “Kits” and “Kubs” tighten North Shore Park Softball

One losing streak ended, and a run for the top spot continued in the Three-Quarter Century Softball Club intra-Club pennant chase.

Captain Larry McCurdy’s “Kits” assembled a 9-2 record during the past five weeks are now only game off the pace set by Walt Ewald’s Kats, who lost their Thursday, January 13 game 19-10 to the” Kubs,” enabling the “Kits” to draw within one game of tying the “Kats.” The battle for first place will happen Thursday, January 20, at 11:30.

On a happier note, the fast sliding “Kubs” leveled off their sharp descent in the pennant race losing nine of ten games, with a 19-10 win over the first place “Kats,” who are 6-5 over the last five weeks.
