Vintage Trailer Park-Themed Bar Opening Soon In Downtown St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A new trailer park-themed bar concept from Forward Hospitality Group is opening soon in downtown St. Petersburg.

Trailer Daddy at 217 Central Ave. will officially launch with a grand opening weekend starting Friday, according to a news release.

The bar is transforming the space formerly occupied by Glamper — another Forward Hospitality concept — to evoke a vintage trailer park atmosphere.

The company is also known for other local concepts such as Good Night John Boy, Welcome to the Farm, My Rich Uncle, Hi 5 and Tony D’s Sub Shop.

“St. Pete has real momentum for us right now. It’s creative, it’s growing, and it welcomes concepts that bring personality to the table. That’s exactly why we’re doubling down here. We’re excited to bring something new and very unexpected to the local hospitality scene,” Bobby Rutter with Forward Hospitality Group said.

The 5,000-square-foot space is designed with a trailer-land aesthetic, featuring neon signs, nostalgic decor, hooked-up caravans and lawn flamingos, the news release said.

The project’s team describes the bar as an “unapologetic love letter to the best kind of American chaos — a vintage trailer park dreamland that feels like a never-ending summer backyard BBQ. Think retro campers, gritty Americana detailing, and a whole lot of vintage attitude. Part bar, part club, and all vibe.”

Guests can expect a soundtrack of classic rock and country music, along with themed drink specials like the Porch Pounder, M'urica and Pickleback.

The grand opening weekend will include several special events.

Those wearing a mullet, including wigs, on Saturday will be able to bypass the line. That evening will also host a Best Mullet contest, with the winner receiving a spot in the Mullet Hall of Fame.

Then, the first 50 guests in line on Sunday will receive an honorary Bud Light. Doors open at noon that day.

After this, Trailer Daddy will be open daily with hours of operation and special events shared on social media.
