Woman Allowed Dogs To Kill Duckling; Kicked Mother Duck: Police

A St. Petersburg woman is accused of allowing her two dogs to kill a duckling and kicking the duckling's mother when she tried to save it.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg woman is accused of animal cruelty after allowing her two dogs to kill a duckling and kicking the duckling's mother when she tried to prevent her baby's death.

According to witnesses, Bonnie Nave, 59, intentionally allowed her dogs to kill the duck, which she told police she thought was an invasive species.

Nave has been released from jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
