Woman Killed Crossing 4th Street North In St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 67-year-old woman walking across 4th Street North died after being struck by a Jeep Thursday night.

According to St. Petersburg Police, Svjetlana Vojnovic was crossing the street in the 7600 block of 4th Street North around 8:30 p.m. and was nearly struck by another vehicle but made it to the center median safely.

She then continued across the road and stepped into the path of a Jeep driven by Ryan Boyd. Boyd had a green light at the time and Vojnovic was not using a cross walk.
