It’s official, the holiday season is upon us. As soon as the last bites of turkey have been eaten on Thanksgiving, people will flock to stores in droves to begin holiday gift shopping in earnest. For those who want to miss the rush and pick up a unique gift, the GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club’s Holiday Open House - Girls Night Out, will offer hundreds of possibilities.
The event – which is free and open to the public -- will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Lightfoot Recreation Center from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. extending an extra hour of shopping from previous years. In addition to the great shopping, there will be a drawing for a $500 Visa Gift Card made possible by Silver Sponsors Joyce Coleman State Farm and Temple Terrace Animal and Bird Hospital.
Thirty-eight vendors will be available to indulge your gifting as well as personal shopping needs. Returning to the Holiday Open House this year are Simpatico Silver, The Scarf Lady, Pampered Chef, Silpada Designs, Scentsy, Tomboy Tools, Tastefully Simple, Cherry Pit Pacs, Becky Deady Designs, Thirty-One Gifts, Candles and More, Leslie Jennings Designs, The GFWC Temple Terrace Woman’s Club and Judy’s Gifts & Jewelry.

New to the Holiday Open House in 2012 are Stella & Dot, “My Things”, Crown Parlor Tea Room, Silver Wear Spoon Jewelry, Pam Patton Art Studio, Burps Bibs and Lids, Clever Containers, Cigar Castle, Velata and Grace Adele, Bali Bay Trading Company, In the Bag Solutions, Origami Owl, Beijo Bags, extramoneyformommy, Pure Romance, Eden’s Nectar Honey, What About Us!, Classy Gal Style Miche Bags and R& E Avenue.
To assist shoppers with keeping their energy up while they pour over the seemingly endless selection of items, the Temple Terrace Juniorettes will be serving a hot dog, chips and soda meal -- all for just $3. They will also be holding a bake sale.

There will be a silent auction that will include many items donated by vendors including a complete set of the TT Junior Woman’s Club’s Heritage Ornaments from 1998 through 2012.
The GFWC Temple Terrace Juniors will be collecting cash donations for Hurricane Sandy victims at the Holiday Open House. Checks can be made payable to GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club.
The Club directly supports many community projects with donations of time and money including the Temple Terrace schools, Adopt-a-Highway, ACS Relay for Life, Liberty Manor for Veterans, Terrace Reads-Book Exchange, ACS Tampa Hope Lodge, Temple Terrace Community Garden, Family Justice Center of Hillsborough County, and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, among others.
The Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club is a non-profit service organization of volunteers who focus on leadership development through community service. The club was organized in 1958 and became a charter member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club encourages all women, ages 18 and up, to join the organization which meets on the third Thursday of each month at (6:00 p.m. Social) 6:30 p.m. at Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Avenue, Temple Terrace, Florida 33617 each month except Dec., June and July.
