The Florida Wind Band will present a chamber recital of seasonal Halloween music for organ and brass quintet on Tuesday, October 30, at 7:30 p.m. at St Catherine's Episcopal Church in Temple Terrace. Selections will include solo organ works such as Bach's Toccata and Fugue in d minor and Boellmann's Toccata from Suite Gothique, plus brass quintet transcriptions of classic orchestral works such as Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King and Gounod's Funeral March for a Marionette.
Founded in 2007, the Florida Wind Band is a professional wind band ensemble committed to providing high quality public performances of the very best in wind band literature. The goal of the FWB is to provide entertainment and artistic stimulation for Tampa Bay's residents and visitors, many of whom have had experience in school bands and have known this experience to be life changing. The FWB is a nonprofit 501c3 organization.
