At the 67th annual Sweet Adelines International convention held in Honolulu this week, Temple Terrace-based Toast of Tampa Show Chorus placed 3rd in the world on November 9. The 118 performers aged 8 to 80 dazzled the audience of 8,000 and countless thousands more watching webcast worldwide in what all agreed was an amazing performance. Certainly "one of the most thrilling days of my life," exclaimed proud management team president Ruth Walker, who accompanied Master Director Tony DeRosa onstage for medals. Toast placed 5th in Houston in 2011; this welcomed placement felt like 1st!
Toast will resume regular Tuesday evening rehearsals at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in January. Visitors are welcomed with joy!
