• Valrico nonprofit gives youth aging out of foster care a place to call home (tampabay28.com) — A Valrico nonprofit called Forgotten Angels is giving young adults aging out of foster care a real home on a peaceful 12‑acre property in town, complete with tiny houses and life-skills support. Staff help residents buy their own tiny homes, learn transportation skills like motorcycle riding, and build stable futures, while inviting the wider community to support their mission. 
• Florida Woman Killed, Northport Man Hurt in Wednesday Night Crash (tuscaloosathread.com) — A 24-year-old woman from Valrico was killed in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 82 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, late Wednesday night, according to state troopers. She died at the scene, while the other driver, from Northport, was injured and taken to a local hospital as investigators continue reviewing the crash.
