NORTH PORT: Ground broken for new YMCA early learning academy next to King Plastic (yoursun.com) — A new YMCA early learning academy is coming to North Port, modeled after the North Venice Y’s partnership with PGT Innovations. The King Family YMCA Early Learning Academy next to King Plastic will prioritize employees’ children but open to the public, adding 150 much‑needed childcare spots by 2027. Local officials say it’s a key investment in families and the workforce.
