VBMA offers Thanksgiving Break Kokeshi Doll-Making Workshop for the whole family (indianriverguardian.com) — Families in Vero Beach can spend Thanksgiving break creating kokeshi-inspired wooden dolls at the Vero Beach Museum of Art from November 23–25, 2026, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Admission includes materials, a family gallery guide, and access to the Japanese landscape print exhibition, with no registration required and activities open to all ages accompanied by an adult.
   

2. Man accused of Vero Beach murder returned to Indian River County (wpbf.com) — A murder suspect accused of killing Dawn Kriskewic in Vero Beach is now back in Indian River County custody after being captured in West Virginia and transferred through North Carolina. He's being held without bail at the county jail in Vero Beach on a first-degree murder charge, following the August 16 shooting.
   

3. Discount airline Breeze launches nonstop BWI flights to Burlington and Vero Beach (wmar2news.com) — Breeze Airways has just started nonstop flights between Baltimore/Washington International and Vero Beach, giving local residents a new option for traveling to the Mid-Atlantic. With introductory one-way fares starting at $89, the low-cost carrier is also launching a Baltimore–Burlington route as part of its growing U.S. network.
   

4. 17-year-old dies after meetup of 100 teens at Florida boat ramp fight (tcpalm.com) — After a 17-year-old Sebastian River High student was fatally shot during a large teen meetup near Garcia's Boat Ramp, deputies say one of the involved teens attends Vero Beach High School and plan extra security at its Oct. 9 homecoming game. Investigators believe the shooting may have been self-defense and are asking anyone with video or information to contact the Sheriff's Office.
   

5. BTV launches first nonstop Baltimore flight in 16 years (wcax.com) — New Breeze Airways flights now link Burlington and Baltimore, and the same plane continues on to Vero Beach, giving local travelers another way to get home or visit family. One Vero Beach resident is already using the connection after dropping her son at college, and the low-cost carrier is advertising relatively inexpensive fares on the route.
