• New Weeki Wachee joint facility opening ahead of school year (baynews9.com) — A new joint classroom building between Weeki Wachee High School and Winding Waters K-8 opens next week, giving local sixth through twelfth graders 30 additional classrooms and a shared cafeteria. Hernando County Schools leaders say the flex-space design saves money, addresses enrollment shifts, and could guide future campus expansions, while the district continues hiring teachers and rolling out similar upgrades elsewhere.
