Troopers say a 45-year-old Wesley Chapel man hit the child while turning at Windstar Circle and Moonrise Way, and the boy later died at a nearby hospital. No additional details about charges or citations were provided. 
• Ex-minor leaguer claimed he was ‘scared & frustrated' before fleeing deadly Manatee County I-75 crash: PCA (fox13news.com) — An 18-year-old former minor league player told investigators he was driving from his girlfriend’s home in the Wesley Chapel area when he was allegedly involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on I-75 in Manatee County. Newly released documents describe his account of weaving traffic, panic, and leaving the scene before his team alerted troopers. He now faces serious charges and has bonded out of jail.
