$5M Prize Claimed By Delaware Man: Florida Lottery

A Delaware man visiting South FL claimed a $5 million prize while playing the Gold Rush Unlimited scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said.

DELRAY BEACH, FL โ€” A Delaware man visiting South Florida claimed a $5 million prize while playing the Gold Rush Unlimited scratch-off game, according to a Florida Lottery news release.

Peter Sullivan, 66, of Millsboro chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3.96 million. He claimed his prize at the Florida Lotteryโ€™s district office in West Palm Beach.

Sullivan bought his winning ticket from Publix at 1538 South Federal Highway in Delray Beach. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

Gold Rush Limited, a $20 scratch-off game, launched in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million. Additionally, the ticket has 33,000 prizes ranging from $1,000 to $100,000. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.65
