Residents say the spike is straining budgets and even making them rethink what they drive, as economists warn that both fuel costs and broader inflation could keep climbing while the war with Iran continues.

4. Dirt bike rider dead, electric bicyclist critically injured in 2 Palm Beach County crashes (wpbf.com) — A Wellington man died after being hit while crossing Military Trail just west of West Palm Beach, in one of three serious crashes Palm Beach County deputies investigated this week. Separate incidents in Loxahatchee and west of Boynton Beach left a dirt bike rider dead and an e-bike rider critically injured, underscoring ongoing safety concerns for riders and pedestrians on busy local roads.
5. Boca Raton Nurse May Face Reprimand, Fine After Judge's Recommendation Over TikTok (tapinto.net) — A former labor and delivery nurse who previously worked at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach may face a reprimand and fine after posting a graphic TikTok about a pregnant White House press secretary. A judge has recommended discipline, including education on social media use, and the Florida Board of Nursing will make the final decision, which could affect future care providers in the region.
