Child Bit By Shark In Delray Beach
A young boy was bitten on his right foot by a small shark in Delray Beach on Monday afternoon. He was bandaged and taken to a hospital.
DELRAY BEACH, FL — A young boy was bitten by a small shark in shallow water on Delray Beach on Monday afternoon.
The boy told Delray Beach Fire and Rescue that he saw the shark dart toward him while he was standing in shallow water, and the shark bit him on his right foot near his big toe before swimming away. He was bitten around 4 p.m. near the 3300 block of South Ocean Boulevard.
Medics bandaged the wound, and the boy was taken to Bethesda Memorial Hospital, authorities said.
