WHAT: Live, virtual Backyard Bioblitz

Help gather information about biodiversity in our region during a live, virtual ‘Backyard Bioblitz,’ a group event during which people coordinate to document biodiversity in a short amount of time. During this bioblitz, explore your backyard, a schoolyard, or a local nature trail, and submit your observations of any native, non-native, and wild organism using the iNaturalist app. The goal is to count as many species as possible. To participate, you will need a smartphone, tablet, or a camera and computer. This event is offered by the City of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability in partnership with the Mandel Public Library.

WHEN: Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 6:30 – 7:30 PM EST

WHERE: Zoom. To participate:

2. Join the WPB Backyard Bioblitz project (https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/wpb-backyard-bioblitz),
3. Find some local biodiversity to document!
