The City of West Palm Beach, the Cityโs Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and several other agencies hosted the official groundbreaking for Flagler Station, the Cityโs latest affordable/workforce housing offering. This mixed-use housing development will be located at the gateway to the Cityโs Downtown and Historic Northwest sectors. The project design activates the public realm, incorporates a pedestrian-oriented design and references the historical architectural vernacular of the area.

Flagler Stationโs included linear park will pay homage to the vast railroad network referenced in its name through an outdoor public art display. An included โmicro-mobilityโ station will provide a storage area for bicycles, scooters and other methods of alternative transportation. This feature is in line with the Cityโs mobility plan to make West Palm Beach a more โcommuter friendlyโ city and will also support residentsโ transportation to and from work.
Housing Trust Group is the project developer, and Rinaldi Construction is the contractor. The Cityโs Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) provided a low interest loan in the amount of $75,000 towards the project as well as other development incentives. Palm Beach County contributed an additional $550,000 in HOME Investment Partnership Program funds.

James. โProviding affordable living options to our growing West Palm Beach population continues to be a top priority, and we look forward to launching this new community.โ
In line with Mayor Keith A. James โ300 in 3โ initiative to build or complete 300 workforce/affordable housing units in three years, Flagler Station advanced the initiative, with 75% of the โ300 in 3โ goal now met in one year.
