City Of West Palm Beach To Switch Back To Chloramines As Water Disinfectant
The switch will happen on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The City of West Palm Beach will switch back to using chloramines as the disinfectant for its water service on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. This change can take up to two days to infiltrate the entire water system. The following groups are advised to seek professional advice, as the method for removing chlorine residuals differs from removing chloramine residuals from tap water:

- Owners of tropical fish
- Managers of stores and restaurants with fish and shellfish holding tanks
