Now Open: Registration For City Of WPB’s 2020 Fall Youth 5V5 Soccer League
Applications are being accepted through Sept. 21 or until all slots are filled.

The City of West Palm Beach’s Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications now through September 21, 2020 (or until slots are filled) for its annual fall youth 5V5 soccer league. The season runs from the week of October 5th through the week of December 14th and is broken up into the following stages:

- Skills clinics: week of October 5
- Evaluations and draft: week of October 12
- Beginning of practice: week of October 19
- Games: week of November 2
- Playoffs: week of December 14
The City’s youth soccer league is held at Howard Park, located at 1302 Parker Avenue. Teams will be split in three age groups, determined by the player’s grade during the 2020/2021 school year: second to third grade, fourth to fifth grade, and sixth to eighth grade. The registration fee is $60 for City residents and $75 for non-City residents. Additionally, as of August 1, 2020 there is a $25 annual registration fee for each household for participation in the City’s athletics leagues. The parks and recreation department is also seeking volunteer coaches for the season.
Following the latest CDC recommendations for COVID-19, the Parks and Recreation Department has implemented the following safety guidelines for youth sports:

- Every athlete and staff member will undergo a temperature check prior to each game
- Participants must wear a mask until they reach the temperature checkpoint
- Staff members are required to wear a mask
- Hand sanitizer will be available for all participants
- Parents/spectators must watch from outside of the field’s fencing
