West Palm Beach Mayor Promotes Nathaniel Rubel To Procurement Official

The City of West Palm Beach announces that Nathaniel Rubel has been promoted to the position of Procurement Official effective October 18, 2020. During the last four years, Mr. Rubel has served in the City’s Procurement Division as a Procurement Supervisor.

Mr. Rubel is a procurement professional with more than a decade of purchasing experience in commercial construction and municipal utility industries. He is a Certified Public Procurement Officer through the Universal Public Procurement Certification Counsel and is a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and the Southeast Florida Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.

“Congratulations to Nathaniel Rubel on being named the successful candidate for the City of West Palm Beach’s Procurement Official position,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. “Mr. Rubel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position, and I would like to thank him for his continued dedication to our city. I am confident that he will continue to help the City to be fiscally responsible and make good use of taxpayer dollars in these uncertain economic times.”

The Procurement Division is responsible for purchasing all supplies, materials, equipment and services required by City departments and entities. All acquisitions are made according to established rules and regulations in the City's procurement code in addition to local, state, and federal laws.
