West Palm Beach Officials: Know Your Evacuation Zone

The zones help homeowners understand their risk and know when it is necessary to leave due to a hurricane or tropical storm.

July 15, 2020

The City of West Palm Beach encourages residents to โ€˜know your zoneโ€™ before a hurricane or tropical storm threatens. Knowing in which evacuation zone you live can save both time and lives. Evacuation zones have been established to help homeowners understand their risk and know when it is necessary to leave the area should a hurricane or emergency threaten. There are six zones, each with a different risk level. During a hurricane, evacuation orders may be issued for residents residing within those six zones.
