West Palm Beach Residents Encouraged To Apply For County’s Emergency Repair Program

The online application is expected to launch Sunday.

West Palm Beach County, a partner of the City of West Palm Beach, recently launched its Coronavirus Relief Fund program, which establishes the County’s Emergency Repair Program (ERP). This offering helps eligible homeowners, who have been directly impacted by COVID-19 and are need of financial assistance with home repairs. As County residents, households in West Palm Beach are invited to submit their applications should they meet the specified criteria.

The ERP is awarded as a grant that can be used only for emergency repairs, such as installation, roof repair or replacement, hurricane shutters, and heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning. Applications will be reviewed and approved based on approved criteria, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Income eligibility
  • Residence must be owner-occupied
  • Eligible repairs must not exceed the $50,000 maximum assistance limit
  • Property must be located in Palm Beach County

All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-eligible basis. The online application is expected to launch on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. and can be accessed at the County’s Department of Housing and Economic Sustainability’s website: http://pbcgov.com/hes.
