Women of AT&T Florida members donate backpacks to human trafficking victims at Pinellas CASA

Women of AT&T Florida delivered backpacks, clothing and toiletries for victims of human trafficking at CASA this week.

Women of AT&T (WOA) Florida delivered 22 backpacks, clothing and toiletries for victims of human trafficking to Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA) in Pinellas County on June 15. Women of AT&T is an AT&T employee resource group organized to affect change in the community and connect and inspire members to achieve personal and professional growth.

CASA operates Pinellas county’s 24-hour crisis hotline and 100-bed emergency shelter, offers community support groups, provides courtroom advocacy, assists the Child Protective Investigative team and conducts community and corporate training. The backpacks and supplies will help rescued victims who are beginning the rehabilitation process. It is estimated that 17,500 Americans are trafficked each year.
