• Two Dead, Two Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash On US-17/92 In Polk County (tampafp.com) — A serious head-on crash late Saturday on US-17/92 in Polk County killed two people and left two others, including a 34-year-old man from Winter Haven, hospitalized with serious injuries. Troopers say a southbound Honda crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a northbound Nissan, and the cause of the crossover is still under investigation.
