Missing Teen 'Believed To Be In Extreme Danger' Prompts Levi's Call In GA

Authorities are searching for a missing 13-year-old girl they say could be in "extreme danger."

BAXLEY, GA — Authorities say they are searching for a 13-year-old girl who disappeared Thursday from Baxley.

A Levi's Call has been issued while authorities search for Layla Alexis Nubian Carter. Georgia's Levi's Call is what is known as an Amber Alert in other states.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Layla Carter was last seen with Giavannie Alexis Carter at 1 a.m. Thursday in the 170 block of James Drive in Baxley. The pair was traveling in a gray Jeep Renegade, the GBI said.

Layla Carter has blonde braided hear and was last seen wearing pajama bottoms and a T-shirt, the GBI said.

Giavannie Alexis Carter has black braided hear and was last seen wearing a gray and white tank top, black shorts and a black baseball cap with blue trim, the GBI said.

Authorities say they did not know which direction the Carters traveled.

"Layla is believed to be in extreme danger," the GBI said.

The agency asked people to call 911 or Baxley Police, (912) 367-8305.
