ATLANTA, GA — State officials are rolling out their third round of 2021-22 pandemic EBT benefits starting Tuesday to cover the summer months, according to the Department of Human Services.

The one-time benefit is for $391, according to human services.

The benefits are for children ages 0-5 and for children who turned 6-years-old during the school year. Children must be enrolled in Georgia's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or be a student of any age who participated in the National School Lunch Program.

For children who receive SNAP, the benefits will be loaded onto the head of household's EBT card. If children no longer receive SNAP, and the child's identity can be matched from the previous year, the benefits will go on the head of household's past EBT card, according to human services.

Eligible students who do not receive SNAP will receive a P-EBT card or have their benefits loaded to a past P-EBT card, according to human services. Officials did not say whether or not the cards will be mailed.

"DHS continues to work with federal partners on various opportunities to maintain and enhance children’s access to nutritious meals," human services officials said in a news release.
