Warnock Vs. Walker: US Senate Candidates Set To Debate In Heated Race

U.S. Senator Raphael Walker and challenger Herschel Walker will come face-to-face in a televised debate Friday in Savannah.

SAVANNAH, GA — Herschel Walker, a Republican U.S. Senate candidate, will face off for the first time with incumbent Rev. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., in a debate Friday in Savannah.

The one-hour live debate will take place at 7 p.m. at the JW Marriott Savannah in the Plant Riverside District. It will be broadcasted by Nexstar Media Group.

Tina Tyus-Shaw, of WSAV-TV, and Buck Lanford, of WAGA-TV, are set to moderate, according to Nexstar.

The Associated Press reported Warnock requests at least one more debate, either in Atlanta or Macon, though Walker has not responded.

Georgia stations that will air the debate are WAGA-TV (FOX) in Atlanta, WGXA- TV (ABC) in Macon, WJBF-TV in Augusta, WRBL-TV in Columbus and WSAV-TV and WTGS-TV (FOX), both in Savannah.

A live-stream will also be available on the television stations' websites.
