Wawa Plans Georgia Debut
The gas and conveniece store chain plans to open its first Georgia location in 2024.

GEORGIA — Wawa, a gas and convenience store chain, is expanding its southern footprint into Georgia, the company announced this week.
With several established Florida locations, Wawa plans to open its first Georgia location in 2024.
According to 11Alive, John Poplawski, vice president of real estate for Wawa, said entering Georgia territory is "a natural extension from the Florida Panhandle."

Wawa serves a variety of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack foods, according to its website.
It is not known what part of the state will host the new store.
