Acworth Church Staff Will Live in Scissor Lift to Raise Money for Kids' Bikes
Proceeds from "Bikes or Bust" will go towards buying bicycles for underprivileged children in Acworth and Kennesaw.

Staff members at Freedom Church in Acworth will soon be suspended 50 feet in the air for two days in hopes of raising money to buy bicycles for needy elementary school children in Acworth and Kennesaw.
“Bikes or Bust” will commence at the Walmart at 3826 Cobb Pkwy. at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4. At that time, Freedom Church staff will be hoisted aloft in a 50 foot scissor lift and will stay in the lift for 48 hours. Beneath them, families can enjoy photos with Santa, a screening of the Lego Movie, a petting zoo, and more.
Santa will be available for photographs on Thursday between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. On Friday, a screening of The Lego Movie will begin at 6:30, and kids can get their pictures taken with the stars of the movie. A free petting zoo will also operate on Friday between 6:30 and 8:30.

Freedom Church hopes a high turnout will help pay for hundreds of bicycles that would then be donated to local children who have asked Santa to bring them bicycles for Christmas. If you would like to register your child to receive a bicycle from Freedom Church, please do so before Dec. 8.
