• Georgia sets new execution date for Cobb Co. killer Stacey Humphreys (fox5atlanta.com) — State officials have set a Sept. 16 execution date for Stacey Humphreys, convicted of killing two women at a Cobb County real estate office in a case previously described as Powder Springs killings. The order allows the execution any time through Sept. 23 and could prompt new legal and clemency efforts before the date arrives.
