The clerk will serve as a customer service representative and create and maintain accident, incident, and arrest reports.

The Acworth Police Department is hiring a full-time records clerk, the city’s website reports.
According to the job description, the clerk will be responsible for customer service, answering and transferring telephone calls, running criminal background checks on job applicants, processing mail, general record keeping, and other duties. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Depending on the clerk’s skills and experience, pay could range anywhere from $13.50 to $19.17 an hour.

Candidates for the position must possess a high school degree or equivalent. Candidates must also understand modern office keeping practices, be skilled with computers, copiers, and fax machines, and be willing to submit and pass a background check and drug screening.
