Acworth Police Make Arrests on Suspicious Person Call

The arrested couple, a husband and wife, may have stolen electronics and been in possession of heroin.

The Acworth Police Department arrested two people after a suspicious person was reported in a neighborhood allegedly lifting door handles on cars, The Marietta Daily Journal reports.

When police responded to the Baker Plantation subdivision at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, they spotted a vehicle cruising through the area with its lights off. The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Chelsea Valderrama, told officers she was looking for her 23-year-old husband Alexander.

Police discovered Chelsea had an outstanding arrest warrant in Roswell and took her into custody and searched the motel room she was staying in. Inside, police discovered electronic devices that appear to have been stolen and a quantity of suspected heroin.

Alexander was located nearby and taken into custody for heroin possession. Detectives are attempting to discover whether or not the electronics discovered in the motel room were stolen. If you have any information on the case, please contact police at (770) 974-1232.
