Acworth Police Move to New Headquarters Monday
The Acworth detention facility will soon undergo renovations, but is remaining fully operational until then.
The Acworth Police Department’s brand-new headquarters building will officially open for business on Monday morning.
Residents who wish to contact the department about records or administrative details will need to visit the building immediately adjacent to the new headquarters building, which is located at 4400 Acworth Industrial Drive. Both buildings will open for use at 8 a.m. Monday.
An open house for the new facility is scheduled for Oct. 8 from 3 to 8 p.m. A ribbon cutting will be held during the event, at 6:30 p.m.

The Acworth jail will remain open to the public 24 hours a day, but will soon need to be closed as renovations are scheduled to begin at the jail and the court. When renovations begin, the city will provide additional information on resident access to court services and inmate visitation.
